Winter Springs Ranch Myrtle Pond Trail
This trail within the Winter Springs Ranch private nature preserve starts just across the road from the Guest House. It skirts Elk Medow with it's small ponds and beautiful wild flowers. From there it continues along an old ranch road for a few hundred meters before entering the forest. Once under the spreading canopy of the forest one follows a leaf strewn loop trail around a fresh water pond surrounded by beautiful old myrtle trees. Evidence of deer, elk and bear can be seen along the way because all of our wildlife frequent the pond for drinking water. A multitude of birds inhabit the trees along the route.
