REDWOOD FOREST
|
Experience
the majesty of the redwoods that tower over
all other trees in the world. Stroll
through magnificent groves and lose yourself
in the serenity of these ancient giants when
you visit Redwood National Park, which
begins just north of Crescent City and
continues South.
At the Redwood National Park Visitor Center
(Eight miles east on Highway 199 from
Highway 101), travel the Howland Hill Road
to Stout Grove.
This is an exceptionally beautiful drive
which follows the historic stagecoach route
to Oregon. The route leads you to an
outstanding grove of old growth redwoods
where you'll find the one half mile
loop-trail to the Stout Grove.
