On Winter Springs Ranch...
The Grand Meadow Pond in Evening Light - AugustIn terms of elevation, the Grand Meadow Pond sits at
about 400' above sea level, and about 1/3 of the way up the 1,000
acre ranch. The Grand Meadow Pond is beautiful in any
light. These photos were taken in evening light, with just the
distant peaks in sunshine.
At any time of day a visit to the pond will reveal
ducks and other waterfowl, insects, hatch, reeds, lilies, berries
(or at least their bushes) and wonderful views into the distance,
both down and up river.
Frequently you will see either deer or Roosevelt Elk
browsing in the Grand Meadow, and occasionally other animals.
This photographer spotted a mountain lion (Cougar) racing away about
6 months ago. Bear and Bobcat have both been observed on the
ranch in recent months.
Come to Winter Springs Ranch and enjoy the
Grand Meadow.
