WINTER SPRINGS RANCH
October

This second monthly set of images is already slightly expanded
from the first set, and includes images captured over a 7 day period.
The goal...to show you how beautiful Winter Springs Ranch is...in all seasons.

Looking back at September...a beautiful month.  Warm, dry, clear. 
The birds are starting their migration.  Most of the Osprey are gone.
Many Pelicans are gathering so that they can fly as larger flocks.
A bit of needed rain at the end of the month. 
 The river is low (has been close to 1,000 cfs for the last few days).

If normal, this October will bring additional wonderful weather.  The
temperatures are dropping and are a bit more crisp.  The foliage is turning.
Rain should arrive at some point, which will cause the springs, creeks, streams,
and rivers to come alive after a long dry summer.

We are lucky to live here and hope that you can join us as guests.
